Great place, value and location
A last minute change of plan meant we were looking for somewhere to stay in Nantou. EG Hostel is a modern hotel, with good sized rooms, some with a balcony, excellent facilities, including self service laundry and very helpful staff. Ok, there isn’t a lift (as we’d read in various reviews) but it isn’t that difficult to walk up a few flights of stairs, especially as the hotel staff took the heavy luggage up for us. In a good location with plenty of restaurants and a Carrefour nearby, also free parking. Would thoroughly recommend - great value as well!

Good stopover place for Sun-moon Lake and Yushan National Park.

Excellent Hotel in Nantou
After checking in to another hotel which stank of cigarette smoke and was generally run down and not clean we changed to the EG Hostel and found it to be just the best. It's more of a hotel with a common dining and kitchen area than a hostel and the kitchen dining area is modern and tidy if you need to make use of those facilities.
Our room was just the best it was clean and modern and well appointed with crisp white linen and great mattresses, we all had the best nights sleep while there. This hotel has a strict no smoking policy so the lack of cigarette stench was welcomed.
All of the staff were very attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, just a great team and they should all be proud of the way this hotel is kept and run. If I was going back to Nantou I would definitely be staying here again and cant recommend this hostel enough. The hotel has a coin laundry a few doors down which is modern, secure, well lit and clean. We made good use of it having 3 small children.
The only downside is the stairs so if you have a problem with lots of stairs ask for a room as close to the ground floor as possible.

Wonderful hostel!
Wow! I was so impressed with this hostel! It is brand new and the rooms are clean, modern, and very nice! We booked a private room, and the bed was comfortable and bathroom/shower area was very large. The TV had lots of English channels and the Bose sound system was a great addition to the room :)
The location is in central Nantou City, however the hostel has beautiful new scooters you can rent in order to explore surrounding areas (ie Sun Moon Lake, Baguashan, etc.).
The staff were amazing. Everyone who works at this hostel was so friendly and kind! The staff always greeted us with a smile and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. As Canadians who speak very little Mandarin, the staff were so helpful in speaking English to us. Thank you for your excellent hospitality!

此民宿居於南投市中心 交通便利 吃饭方便 停车在公共停车场甚是方便 值得推荐的民宿
