I had a room on the front - spacious, good bed linen, sparkling water and shortbread etc. Good shower (over bath). No noise from road overnight.
Very cosy bar area where I ate and superb food. Can see why this would be a great place to dine in summer. I didn’t make breakfast as chose to have a lie in before heading to the office but I’ve seen it’s good

My room was at the back of the building and was quiet. The room was bright, nice and clean.
The only issue I had was that people were smocking outside by the entrance of the building just below my room window. Had to shut the window as smoke was coming in the room. Need to have a designated smocking area away from the rooms.

Room was a little disappointing. We were directly above the lounge and could hear the music until midnight. Also noisy road outside with it being on the main high street. Floor in the room was on a slant which was slightly off putting. Tv felt a mile for the bed on the opposite side of the room.

The bathroom could do with a shelf to put our toiletries on. (instead we had to use the top of the loo) A light fitting above the large mirror was present but we couldn't see how it worked. If at all.
A good powerful hairdryer, but the plug socket was too far away to sit at the dressing table.
The room was clean, but attention to details were a little lacking. Thick dust on the bathroom extractor, dust on plug socket tops etc. The shower screen was clean but build up around the hinges.
The four poster bed was beautiful to look at, but we found it a little uncomfortable. (personal taste). It was also quite noisy when turning during the night.
Now I'm not suggesting that my review should put off anyone staying here, we would come back in a heartbeat! It's to draw attention for the management to address.
The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and attentive. I even received a birthday card . The food was top notch. Overall the whole place had a relaxing vibe. It kind of gave you a hug.
