Um Hotel bom mas nada de especial
Ficamos por 2 noites como parte de um pacote de Newmarket para ver Andre Rieu em Maastricht mas wow o calor no quarto era horrível SEM ar condicionado em TODOS!!!!
Também teve um água fugas da bacia hidrográfica que, quando vazou água saiu todo o chão ao invés de ir no bom sentido!! Embora relatada na sexta-feira ainda não estava fixa enquanto estávamos lá.
O Pequeno-almoço era adequado, com uma boa escolha, mas poderia fazer com outro/na primeira linha de máquina de chá como esta foi muito movimentada e teve de esperar por cerca de 10 minutos para obter uma xícara de chá por causa da fila.
Tinha uma refeição da noite de lanche que demorou 40 minutos para chegar mas isso foi que nos é oferecida gratuitamente por causa da longa espera, tão bem feito para os funcionários para essa oferta.
Hotel em si parece um pouco como uma prisão do exterior e está localizado em uma área residencial que parece ser km away from anywhre de interesse, então fomos presos no hotel para a nossa estadia.cadeiras no salão foram extremamente desconfortável com uma volta muito baixa, por conseguinte, nenhum apoio para o tronco//cabeça no pescoço.
Não gostaria de voltar a este hotel novamente, mas é preciso dizer que todos os funcionários foram muito agradável e amigável e sempre fez seu melhor para tornar a nossa estadia.

Great hotel with kids. We will definitely be back!
Friendly received and kindly helped for 3 days. Breakfast buffet was diverse and enough choice for lunch and dinner.
Sports facilities for children accessible and diverse. Fitness and group lessons for adults extensive offer and sufficient coaches available.
The pool is okay.
The rooms are fine. Hot as hell, but there is air conditioning. Sanitary neat.
I enjoyed the football museum.
The hotel looks a bit outdated here and there, but certainly not worn, dirty or broken.
Me and my 2 daughters (12 and 9) were short of time with 2 nights.

Wat een fijne review om te lezen. Goed om te horen dat jullie zo vriendelijk zijn ontvangen en drie dagen lang prettig geholpen zijn. Fijn dat zowel jullie als de kinderen hebben genoten van de sportfaciliteiten en het uitgebreide aanbod.
Leuk dat je ook nog even tijd had voor het voetbalmuseum. En ja, twee nachten is inderdaad soms gewoon te kort bij HUP. Hopelijk zien we jullie nog eens terug voor een extra dag fun en beweging. Tot de volgende keer!

A Temu Holiday Resort in Mierlo. Some Hits, Too Many Misses
We recently stayed at the HUP hotel in Mierlo, and I’ve come away with very mixed feelings. It tries hard to be a family-friendly sports hotel, but the overall execution feels a lot like ordering a holiday from Temu with plenty of things included, but only a few you’d actually want to keep.
The Good:
The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, which is always a solid foundation for any hotel stay.
Front desk staff were excellent, friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.
The bar area was a great spot to sit and unwind, a rare oasis of calm in the middle of the hotel’s chaotic personality.
There’s a lot for kids to do, especially if you're just looking to burn some energy with sports and play areas.
The surrounding area, Mierlo, is peaceful and pleasant, great for a stroll or short bike ride.
Breakfast was fine, but bizarrely stingy with condiments that you’ll have to ask if you want so much as ketchup or mustard.
The Bad:
The lifts are painfully slow, and if you're staying on the top floor, you'll become intimately familiar with the elevator doors while waiting for eternity to pass.
The pool sauna is nude-only, and there’s no staff supervision. That meant children wandered into areas with naked adults in full view. For a hotel branding itself as family-focused, this setup is uncomfortable, inappropriate, and poorly thought out.
The hotel offers two restaurants, and neither is worth recommending. One is a DIY grill experience with bland, near-inedible meat (the red meat was especially bad). The other gave me a chicken burger that tasted like it came from a bulk frozen food sale, dry, tasteless, and just plain sad. It doesn’t help that much of the hotel seems to be run by students with minimal training or oversight.
My kids had pizzas, but the bases were obviously mass-produced, with a misleading crispy look that gave way to doughy disappointment underneath.
While there is stuff to do, it’s a weird combination of good, bad, and broken. Monkey Town was a hit with the kids, but the mini golf is a collection of metal contraptions that look like rejected science fair projects. Most of the holes were barely playable.
Bowling could have been fun if the lanes didn’t keep breaking mid-game. As for the two pool tables, they were overwhelmed by unsupervised children. On the off chance you do get to play, expect to be constantly interrupted by a line of kids waiting to take over.
Final Thoughts:
HUP feels like the real-world equivalent of a Temu holiday resort. It has plenty of promise, a few things that work, but most of it ranges from frustrating to just plain odd. If your expectations are low and your kids are happy just running around, you might get something out of it. But if you’re looking for consistency, quality dining, or a well-managed family atmosphere, this place is likely to disappoint.
There are some good moments but they're buried in a tangle of poor decisions, uneven quality, and awkward design choices.

Fun for young and old.
For families with energetic children or adults, this is a really nice hotel. In the morning everyone is already at the breakfast table in sportswear and then young and old are going to be active with each other, it organizes itself, very nice!
It would be even more fun if there was a bit more organization instead of having to figure it all out yourself. And for people who only come one night, you actually have too little time on the day of arrival to use the facilities compared to the costs.

Hi, bedankt voor jouw review! Wat een leuke omschrijving van de sfeer bij HUP. Precies wat we willen uitstralen: jong en oud actief bezig, lekker samen in beweging. Fijn dat jullie dat zo hebben ervaren.
Je tip over meer georganiseerde activiteiten nemen we mee, dat zou inderdaad een mooie aanvulling kunnen zijn. En we begrijpen je punt over de beperkte tijd bij een kort verblijf. Hopelijk is het toch gelukt om er een energieke en leuke tijd van te maken.
