Thanks for taking the time to leave a review on TripAdvisor, even though it sounds like your stay at Hotel Lucia was far from peaceful. I appreciate the feedback, even when it's tough to hear.
I'm truly sorry you experienced so much noise during your stay. You're right, Hotel Lucia is a historic building – we opened our doors in 1909, and while that vintage charm is part of what makes us unique, it also means that soundproofing isn't always up to modern standards. It's like listening to a classic vinyl record – you get the authentic sound, but sometimes a little surface noise comes with it. Being right downtown in a bustling city also adds to the, uh, soundscape.
What concerns me most is that you tried to inform "management" about the issue and received no reply. That's completely unacceptable, and not how I want things to run here. We're usually pretty good at finding solutions, but we can only do that if we know there's a problem during the stay. Now, I'm not doubting you sent a message – in today's world, emails can easily get bounced by firewalls, or land in spam, or any number of digital mishaps. It's frustrating, I know.
I appreciate you saying that there is better run operations, however, I am taking your feedback seriously.
