Thank you for your time taken for the review. We hope your daughter is recovering well. It is such a sad thing to see something like this happen to such a young girl.

We are sorry that you feel that you had been charged incorrectly or overcharged. The price you stated from $119 -$135 has not been relevant for a number of years now so am not sure where you saw those prices.
I remember your booking specifically as when you rung it was due to an emergency situation. I advised you that we only had one large family room available that has 2 Queens and 2 Single beds in it (the normal rate for this is $180 per night ) and as there was 3 of you I said that charge would be $170 per night. You said that was a bit expensive so I said if you just used the one Queen bed and one Single bed that it would only be $150 per night. You said that you could share the Queen bed with your daughter and you agreed to the rate and conditions. Room rates are based on number of guests and beds occupied.
As you were arriving late, we made special arrangements and organised a late arrival for you by leaving the key out so that you could go straight to your room no matter what time you arrived. Before we leave any key out for our guests we charge the relevant credit card and like a lot of motels these days there is a 1% surcharge (bank fee) added to the room rate which this is noted on our website and is also displayed on our Reception window. On your arrival instructions left out for you with your key, it was noted to use 1 Queen bed and 1 Single bed only.
I understand that you may have been distressed with your situation at hand,- but you agreed to these conditions over the phone. When our cleaners serviced your room the following day we noted on our clean records how many beds should be used in a room and there were 3 beds used not the 2 as discussed. This resulted in us charging the extra $40 for the use of the 3rd bed over the 2 night stay.
Again we apologise for any extra distress this has caused, but we are confident that what is stated is to be true and correct.
